Job Description

As Sales Account Manager-Sea Freight at DFreight your role will be to build strong relationships with customers ensuring successful deployment of the DFreight platform and services. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for your group of customers throughout their life cycle. You will support our customers to get onboarded and maximize the value they get out of the product, working closely with them in designing and executing success plans to ensure their freight forwarding / logistics objectives are met. You will collaborate with other departments, such as the product team on new platform features to further enhance the customer experience, but also with sales and pricing to make sure we can offer the best rates and freight solutions to increase our share of wallet.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all sea-freight customer account management matters.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by being a solution architect for their freight and logistics objectives.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts (sea-freight), customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of freight solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven UAE work experience as an Account Manager, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or relevant role - in Sea Freight.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Strong experience working with SAAS and digital tools.
  • Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
