As their Indian Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious meals for their staff in accordance with their dietary requirements and preferences. You will need to be familiar with a variety of Indian cuisine and be able to work efficiently to meet the demands of a busy canteen.
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes for staff using fresh ingredients
- Plan menus, taking into account dietary requirements of staff
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage and supervise kitchen assistants
- Ensure timely delivery of meals to staff during designated meal times
- Continuously strive to improve the quality of food offerings and propose new ideas to enhance the canteen experience
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as an Indian Cook in a similar setting
- Diploma or certification in culinary arts preferred
- Knowledge of a wide range of Indian dishes and cooking techniques
- Ability to manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
