Essence of the Role

In this role, you will turn customer into fans owning your client accounts to ensure the most strategic and highest quality work. Be a trusted advisor to your clients and maintain a strong understanding of their business objectives. The primary responsibility for the role is account development and growth.

As our new Key Account Director, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of existing key accounts.
  • Ensure growth and proactive account development.
  • Establish relationships and secure contracts with key accounts and achieve assigned sales quotas and targets.
  • Make presentations to C-level, senior managers, and decision makers.
  • Defining customer requirements and produce proposals together with product specialists, technical sales, and customer delivery managers.
  • Develop and maintain account plans, finding opportunities and forecast sales.
  • Get insights amp; deep-dive into industry challenges, competitive landscape, financial performance trends, performance on key business metrics vis-a-vis global benchmarks/best practices of the client to find opportunities.
  • Qualify the opportunities in these accounts.
  • Negotiate and close deals.

Who are you?

In order to contribute to this role, you should have/be:

  • Customer -focused and have the ability to build relationships with decision makers high-up in organizations.
  • Good understanding of the operator market and all aspects of complex B2B sales.
  • Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills and able to conceptualize the technical and commercial values of our offering.
  • High energy, passion and driven to win.
  • 5-10 years of experience from sales or other commercial roles, towards mobile operators in the region.
  • Degree in business or similar field.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong intuition for business and people leadership skills.
  • MEA business experience (mandatory).
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under your own initiative, take ownership and be a team player.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to present business solutions to senior executives and ability to drive executive conversations at C-level.

You will stand out in the crowd if you have:

  • Experience in messaging (A2P), voice, or related wholesale services.
  • Knowledge additional languages, specifically French or Arabic.
  • A solid technical and commercial understanding gained from a commercial role in a technology company.
  • Experience working in an international environment.
  • Established C-Level / senior management network from the industry and region.
