Hello there! We are Apt Resources, a leading recruitment firm in the hospitality industry. We are currently looking for a Kitchen Technician to join a group of Western restaurants. As a Kitchen Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of the kitchens in our client's restaurants.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain kitchen equipment and appliances, ensuring they are in good working condition at all times
- Diagnose and fix technical faults and breakdowns in equipment and appliances
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and the Kitchen Manager to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules
- Keep records of all maintenance work carried out
- Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment in the kitchen
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities on all kitchen equipment and appliances
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for repairs and maintenance work
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Technician for at least 5 to 7 years
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and standards
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
