Kitchen Technician for a group of Western restaurants

Hello there! We are Apt Resources, a leading recruitment firm in the hospitality industry. We are currently looking for a Kitchen Technician to join a group of Western restaurants. As a Kitchen Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of the kitchens in our client's restaurants.

• Install and maintain kitchen equipment and appliances, ensuring they are in good working condition at all times
• Diagnose and fix technical faults and breakdowns in equipment and appliances
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and the Kitchen Manager to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules
• Keep records of all maintenance work carried out
• Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment in the kitchen
• Conduct preventative maintenance activities on all kitchen equipment and appliances
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for repairs and maintenance work

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Technician for at least 5 to 7 years
• Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and standards
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
