There are two programs that it runs currently GluCare and Zone Health.

GluCare is a tech-enabled comprehensive diabetes care platform, that incorporates the latest innovations in wearables and IoT devices, ML, and AI to enable its clinicians to be what they were trained to be... compassionate humans. Diabetes is a disease of habit and lifestyle, powering caregivers to be data-driven coaches in changing human behavior is our superpower.

Zone Health is an obesity-focused program that is virtual, data-driven and hyper-personalized and utilizes continuous metabolic monitoring as well as precision medication to generate vastly better outcomes in weight loss.

About the role:

Working closely with the CEO, leading our global growth strategy, you will define the framework for metabolic’s market entry, identify and prioritize opportunities to drive business growth

Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to define the company's long-term growth strategy and identify areas of opportunity for expansion, partnerships, and acquisitions.
  2. Business Opportunity Identification: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and partnerships. Conduct global market sizing of the opportunity for diabetes treatment by country.
  3. New Market Strategy - prioritize entry into new markets based on relevant criteria including demand, payor structure, regulatory profile ad operational complexity. Develop a roadmap for entry in priority markets.
  4. Due Diligence: Lead the due diligence process for evaluating potential business opportunities, including financial analysis, market assessment, risk evaluation, and legal considerations.
  5. Deal Structuring and Negotiation: Develop deal structures and negotiate terms and agreements for partnerships, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and financial targets.
  6. Relationship Management: Identity key players to potentially partner with by market and develop initial relationships. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, potential acquisition targets, venture capital firms, and other relevant organizations, to facilitate business development opportunities.
  7. Market Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to identify emerging opportunities and risks in the healthcare industry.
  8. Reporting and Presentation: Prepare and present reports, updates, and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors, highlighting key findings, progress, and strategic opportunities
  9. Work closely with the operational and clinical team to execute on programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to evaluate complex business opportunities and assess financial implications.
  • Proven experience in corporate business development, strategic planning, or related roles within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare market, including industry trends, insurance, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated track record in identifying and executing successful business development opportunities, such as acquisitions, partnerships, or joint ventures.
  • Exceptional negotiation, deal structuring, and contract drafting skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proactive and innovative mindset, with a strategic orientation and a focus on driving results
