AL AMAL BUSINESS SOLUTIONS is currently seeking a skilled and highly experienced Commis Chef to join a fine dining French restaurant. The ideal candidate is someone who can perform the job with utmost excellence, has a keen eye for detail, and is passionate about food preparation and presentation. The Commis Chef will work under the direct supervision of the Head Chef and will be responsible for ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and preparing meats and other proteins
- Assisting the Head Chef with menu planning and food preparation
- Cooking and plating dishes with a focus on quality, presentation, and timing
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Supporting all kitchen team members with any additional tasks as needed
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Communicating effectively with the Head Chef and all team members to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a fine dining restaurant
- Solid understanding of French cuisine and techniques
- Ability to work under pressure and handle a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Food safety and hygiene certification
