We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team in our Dubai Office.
As a Financial Controller for Dangote Group, you will help us maintain the financial health of our organization. You will monitor and analyze financial data to provide accurate financial information to management, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
Your role will also involve carrying out strategic financial planning and implementing effective financial management policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies and policies to meet business objectives.
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the attention of senior management.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and projections for management, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
- Manage the company’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
- Conduct risk assessment and management to minimize financial and business risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of financial management processes.
- Manage and develop a team of financial professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years' proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
- Experience in managing and drafting shipping documentations, international Import Export Business and Trade Finance.
- Strong understanding of leading companies corporate finance, governance practices and industry trends.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and financial analysis techniques.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial statements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of financial professionals.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Must be eligible to work in the UAE.
