Job Description

Purple Rock, a prominent Managed Service Provider, is in search of an experienced IT Support Engineer available to join immediately our expanding team. The IT Consultant's primary responsibilities include delivering technical support to our clients throughout the United Arab Emirates and collaborating with the implementation team on tasks such as new client onboarding, migrations, upgrades, and various IT projects. This role demands a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of business requirements, excellent communication skills, and effective problem-solving capabilities. Initially, you will be stationed at the client's site to provide end-user support, encompassing Office 365, printer management, hardware setup, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to our clients across the Dubai, UAE as part of the IT support team.
  • Work with the implementation team in onboarding new clients, migrating, upgrading, and being involved in IT projects and new systems deployment.
  • Answer calls and provide necessary support over the phone, email, or physical visit.
  • Manage multiple support tickets at once and prioritize user requirements.
  • Manage client requirements and propose new technology to improve their environment.
  • Implement approved security guidelines and ensure compliance.
  • Keep the IT Helpdesk system records accurate and up to date.
  • Install, modify, upgrade, and repair computer hardware and software, as well as computer peripherals.
  • Manage and administer Office 365 tenants with advanced features.
  • Research and identify solutions to software, hardware, systems, networks, printers, and scanners issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits.
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Provide technical support on-site or via remote-access systems.
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities.
  • Accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding their experience with software or IT service.
  • Develop agreed solutions and implement new systems

Requirements

  • We are currently seeking an IT support engineer who can join our team immediately to provide assistance for an ongoing project for 2 months. This position will involve providing on-site support for desktop and Windows machines, including OS reinstallation and the setup of new user machines, as well as assisting with printer configuration. Proficiency in supporting O365 is of utmost importance for this job.
  • Support clients throughout the United Arab Emirates and collaborating with the implementation team on tasks such as new client onboarding, migrations, upgrades, and various IT projects.
  • The support schedule will be either from 9 AM to 6 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM, six days a week.
  • Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as an IT support engineer or in a similar role. The engineer must be based in Dubai and available for immediate joining. Additionally, proven work experience in positions such as Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or similar roles is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate technical information to non-IT clients and colleagues
  • Industry certifications such as ITIL Foundation, CCNA, MCSE, Office 365 certifications, or AWS are mandatory
  • A logical approach to problem solving and analyzing.
  • Good organizational skills to prioritize workloads.
