Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our remote finance team. As an Accountant at ekar, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial transactions and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Your primary goal will be to support the company's financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records and providing financial analysis. Key responsibilities and tasks include:
- Financial Record Keeping:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Budgeting and Forecasting:- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide insights and analysis on budget variances.
Month-end Close:- Conduct month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
Accounts Payable/Receivable:- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Monitor and process vendor invoices and customer payments.
Bank Reconciliation:- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Tax Compliance:- Assist in preparing and filing tax returns in compliance with local regulations.
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations affecting the company.
Financial Analysis:- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Generate various financial reports for management review.
Communication:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information.
- Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Audit Support:- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Implement audit recommendations to improve processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role for 2-3 years.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
- Experience in the mobility or automotive industry is a plus.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
