Job Summary:
As a Network Administrator at GluCare Integrated Diabetes Center, you will play a crucial role in
ensuring the seamless operation of our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing,
implementing, and maintaining the organization's computer networks, servers, and systems. Your
primary objective is to guarantee the reliability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure to
support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Infrastructure Management:
Design, implement, and manage the organization's local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN).
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal network availability.
2. Server Administration:
Administer and maintain servers, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely. Install, configure,
and update server software and hardware.
3. Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce network security policies to safeguard patient information and ensure
compliance with industry regulations. Conduct regular security audits and implement measures to
address vulnerabilities.
4. Data Backup and Recovery:
Establish and maintain data backup and recovery procedures to protect critical information.
Test and validate backup systems regularly to ensure data integrity.
5. User Support:
Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues. Collaborate with the IT support
team to address and resolve user concerns promptly.
6. Network Upgrades and Expansion:
Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions to accommodate the growing needs of the
organization. Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network
performance.
7. Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for network configurations, procedures, and
troubleshooting steps.
8. Collaboration:
Collaborate with other IT professionals, including system administrators and security specialists, to
ensure a cohesive and secure IT environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3-5 years of experience as a network administrator or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security protocols, and network infrastructure
components.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in healthcare IT or a similar regulated industry will be a plus.
Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems will be a plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare compliance regulations will be a plus.
