Apt Resources is a leading company in the recruitment industry, and we are currently seeking a Head of Business - Delivery amp; Logistics to join the team of one of our clients in the "last mile delivery industry or similar". The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and logistics operations of their company, ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods and services to their clients. As the Head of Business - Delivery amp; Logistics, you will lead a team of professionals and work closely with other departments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies and plans to optimize the delivery and logistics operations
- Manage and oversee all delivery and logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping and transportation regulations
- Monitor and analyze delivery and logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Manage relationships with shipping vendors and negotiate contracts
- Monitor and control costs related to delivery and logistics operations
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services to clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the delivery or logistics industry in UAE
- Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in logistics management software
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of local and international shipping practices and regulations
