Duties amp; Responsibilities:
1. Monitor work processes and procedures to identify unsafe acts/conditions or breach of safety regulations
2. Conduct safety training to educate company staff on necessary safety principles
3. Assist to collect the necessary facts for the preliminary notification for incident, and act as member of the investigation team
4. Oversee the placement and setup of safety signs to warn of potential hazards
5. Conduct the on-field pre-work risk assessment with other actors and follow up un the implementation of control barriers
6. Oversee the company waste disposal methods to ensure they comply with safe disposal procedures
7. Attending occupational safety and health workshop and external training to update job knowledge and enhance their skills.
8. Collect the on-site grievances and communicate to his line manager for follow up and closure
9. Conduct HSSE inductions for all newcomers
10. Ensure all staff are equipped with appropriate PPE before the job commencement
11. Act as focal point for HSE and gender/social inclusion issues
12. Follow up on the field to make sure the lenders amp; client’s requirements (IFC standards amp; World Bank EHS directives) are implemented
13. Applies and follows the contractual and legal obligations, GCC’s policies and procedures.
14. Coordinate the on-site emergency drills to educate the staff regarding the emergency procedures
15. Responsible in his work area for implementation of ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards
16. Perform any other job/activities related to the assigned responsibility as required and deemed necessary by management.
