General Accountant

Apt Resources, a leading recruitment company, is seeking a General Accountant to join the team of one of our reputable clients. As a General Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions and reporting for the company. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

• Prepare and record financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, and journal entries
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts on a regular basis
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Prepare documentation and reports for management and regulatory authorities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and controls

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus
• Must be based in UAE
• Must have experience in UAE or GCC as a General Accountant
