Role Description
We are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic Operations Manager (UAE) to become a pivotal member of our Skyports Infrastructure global team. Based in Dubai, this position will spearhead the advancement of our operational prowess across the expansive UAE region.
The Vertiport Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of vertiport operations across our future network of vertiports located in UAE, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards whilst delivering high levels of customer service. This role involves managing personnel (ground staff etc), coordinating ground services, and liaising with various stakeholders to facilitate the smooth operation of vertiport activities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountable manager
- Be the accountable person for safe, secure and efficient operations at Skyports vertiport network.
2. Operational Management
- Oversee daily vertiport operations, including resource scheduling, stand management, passenger handling and baggage management.
3. Safety and Compliance
- Stay current with aviation regulations and industry standards, implementing necessary updates and changes.
- Ensure compliance with local, national and international aviation regulations and standards. And uphold safety protocols and regulatory compliance for heliport operations.
- Monitor changes in legislation and implement necessary changes in security practices.
- Liaise with operators, passengers, and other stakeholders to address operational safety and security concerns.
4. Personnel Management
- Recruit, train, and lead, manage staff involved in vertiport operations, including ground crew, security personnel, and administrative staff.
- Develop vertiport staff, including scheduling, training and performance evaluation.
5. Ground Operations
- Coordinate ground services, including aircraft marshalling, charging, and loading/unloading of passengers and baggage.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of vertiport facilities, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
6. Customer Service
- Interact with fleet operator staff, pilots, and passengers to address their needs and concerns.
- Ensure a positive and efficient experience for all users of the vertiport facilities.
7. Security Management
- Implement and oversee security protocols to safeguard the vertiport and its users.
- Collaborate with security personnel to monitor access control and respond to security incidents.
8. Performance Monitoring
- Implement systems for monitoring the performance of operations aircraft, including data analysis, maintenance records, and efficiency metrics.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance overall performance.
9. Emergency Response Planning
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conducting regular drills and training sessions.
- Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services for efficient response to incidents.
10. Stakeholder Relations
- Collaborate with vertiport operators, regulatory authorities, local communities, and other stakeholders to address concerns and foster positive relationships.
- Represent the vertiport in meetings, conferences, and industry events.
11. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of vertiport activities, including flight schedules, maintenance logs, and incident reports using appropriate systems provided by IT.
- Prepare regular reports for management and regulatory agencies.
