Duties amp; Responsibilities
- 1. Responsible for development and maintenance of database and other safety reporting tools to compile, calculate, track, verify accuracy of figures and computation, research and respond to discrepancies
- 2. Prepares drafts and finalize correspondences, reports, statistical data, memoranda, and related materials as directed
- 3. Research and abstracts information and supporting data in preparation for meeting, presentations, reports, etc
- 4. Ensure the confidentiality of the records maintained within the department
- 5. Monitor work processes and procedures to identify unsafe acts/conditions or breach of safety regulations
- 6. Provide administrative support to the QHSE Manager and the HSE crew
- 7. Coordinate to maintain updated the compliance obligations register
- 8. Assist to develop and implement safety, procedures, and policies for operations
- 9. Attending occupational safety and health workshop and external training to update job knowledge and enhance their skills.
- 10. Conduct HSSE inductions for all newcomers
- 11. Applies and follows the contractual and legal obligations, GCC’s policies and procedures.
- 12. Responsible in his work area for implementation of ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards
- 13. Perform any other job/activities related to the assigned responsibility as required and deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma is required.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft office suite applications including MS Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Outlook is required.
- Demonstrated skills in time management, organization and planning are required.
- Experience in HSE field and construction is desirable.
- HSE Training facilitation experience is desirable.
- Certified HSE trainings (first aid, Firefighting, Pollution prevention) are desirable.
- English is required and French is desirable.
- Experience or knowledge with international financial institutions (World Bank, IFC, etc) on environment and social safeguards is desirable.
- Experience in ISO standards implementation is desirable.
