The Senior IT Officer monitors and maintains the company computer systems; installs and configures hardware and software and solves technical issues as they arise.
His / her role is to provide data-driven advice on how to expand or refine systems operations to meet organization needs.
STRATEGY
Maintains Rentokil Boecker’ old systems in terms of IT solutions and infrastructure (emails, security).
• Establishes IT policies on active directory, backups, e-mail systems, anti-virus protection.
• Monitors and maintains Rentokil Boecker’ local servers.
• Implements and manages end user technology including ICABS, Enterprise Mobility Management, Enterprise Endpoint protection, Google Workspace and Office 365.
• Ensures a fit purpose, cost effective model for the delivery of key business services to end users.
• Manages the data center and computer host systems including hardware, software and equipment.
• Ensures appropriate levels of security and data compliance for the infrastructure across the country.
• Ensures efficiency through optimizing workflow streamline to be as efficient as possible while creating little waste as possible during the process.
• Supervises amp; controls security-related systems such as VPNs, Fortinet, firewalls and network monitoring systems.
• Supervises and controls various IT network security control systems such as intrusion detection systems, virtual private networks, and network account access.
• Benchmarks, analyzes, reports on and makes recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems for his country of operations.
• Issues technical and operations standards, procedures, technical documentation and metrics related to all Sysadmin tasks.
• Handles technical issues and escalates them through Rentokil Boecker ticketing system (Service Now) to the concerned parties.
• Demonstrates proof of evidence and detailed data in project management, and shows confidence in analyzing, planning and resolving system inquiries.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of experience in IT infrastructure and workplace services or a similar role in a large sized organization.
• Ability to adapt to changes and effectively prioritize by staying focus on most relevant and critical issues.
• Good technical knowledge in IT infrastructure and end user security management.
• Understanding of Cloud Computing technologies and solutions.
• Effective decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Remarkable attention to details.
