What you’ll be doing

Location: Dubai, UAE (on-site)
Overview:
Support structural design and project delivery for residential and low- to mid-rise commercial projects (G+4 to G+12). Prepare authority-ready documentation, coordinate with architects, MEP and site teams, and ensure safe, code-compliant reinforced concrete and steel structures.

Overview:
Support structural design and project delivery for residential and low- to mid-rise commercial projects (G+4 to G+12). Prepare authority-ready documentation, coordinate with architects, MEP and site teams, and ensure safe, code-compliant reinforced concrete and steel structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare structural design calculations, framing plans, reinforcement drawings, and details for G+4 to G+12 buildings.
- Develop and check finite-element and frame analysis models; perform load checks, deflection, and stability assessments per UAE codes.
- Produce and submit complete drawing sets and calculations through UAE authority portals; respond to review comments and obtain approvals.
- Coordinate structural layouts and resolve clashes with architects, MEP, and contractors; attend coordination meetings and site inspections as required.
- Review contractor shop drawings and material submittals; provide technical clarifications and instructions.
What we’re looking for
Must have:
Additional (preferred):
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Valid UAE engineering license (or equivalent professional experience/certifications).
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in structural design for G+4 to G+12 buildings.
- Proven ability to produce structural drawings for reinforced concrete and steel structures using CAD and BIM workflows.
- Experience with ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD.Pro and ability to perform hand calculations for verification.
- Thorough knowledge of UAE building codes, load combinations, seismic and wind provisions, and local authority submission requirements.
- Competence in preparing submission packages, responding to authority comments, and managing approval workflows online.
- Ability to review shop drawings, assess material specifications, and provide clear technical instructions to contractors.
Additional (preferred):
- Strong coordination and communication skills with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and site teams.
- Good report writing skills and meticulous documentation practices for design records and QA/QC checks.
