What you’ll be doing
Job description:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various elevator and escalator systems from multiple manufacturers.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs on doors, hoisting systems, guide rails, and safety components.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Respond to service calls and perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Handle callbacks, investigate and resolve previously reported issues to prevent recurrence.
- Carry out installation, modernization, and refurbishment works as required.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
- Address and resolve customer complaints.
What we’re looking for
Required skills and experience:
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in elevator and escalator maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with different elevator systems, controllers, drives, door operators, and safety devices.
- Good troubleshooting skills for identifying faults and performing corrective actions.
- Experience with preventive maintenance procedures and safety inspections.
- Ability to use basic tools and testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of UAE safety standards and elevator industry regulations is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple service requests, and meet maintenance schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
