Al Murjan Metal Fabrications & Ind. L.L.C. is seeking a Shutter Helper / Welder to support metal fabrication and shutter installation projects in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The role involves assisting senior technicians, working safely at project sites, and developing hands-on expertise in roller shutters, sliding shutters, and related metalwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roller shutters, sliding shutters, and associated metal systems.
- Support welding, cutting, grinding, fabrication, drilling, assembly, and finishing activities as directed.
- Prepare materials, tools, and work areas for fabrication and installation tasks.
- Assist senior technicians and welders at workshops and project sites.
- Measure, align, position, and secure components according to job requirements.
- Follow site safety rules, company procedures, and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and serviceable condition.
- Report material needs, equipment issues, and completed work to the supervisor.
What we’re looking for
- Basic understanding of welding, metal cutting, grinding, drilling, fabrication, and assembly.
- Ability to use common hand tools and workshop equipment safely under supervision.
- Practical ability to measure, mark, align, hold, and fit metal components.
- Awareness of roller shutters, sliding shutters, doors, frames, or related metalwork is an advantage.
- Ability to follow drawings, measurements, work instructions, and supervisor guidance.
- Good physical stamina for lifting materials and working in workshop and site environments.
- Commitment to personal protective equipment, housekeeping, and site safety.
- Reliable attendance, teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn welding and installation techniques.
- Ability to identify basic tool, material, and equipment issues and report them promptly.
