Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet customers warmly and professionally.
- Escort guests to tables and provide menus when required.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Explain dishes, ingredients, portion sizes, and available options.
- Recommend popular dishes and assist customers with selections.
- Communicate orders and special requests accurately to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages promptly.
- Check with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Respond to questions, requests, and concerns professionally.
- Resolve minor customer issues and escalate complaints when necessary.
- Arrange, clean, and clear tables efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining and service areas and restaurant equipment.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff, cashiers, supervisors, and other team members.
What we’re looking for
Required and Preferred Skills
- Previous experience as a waiter, server, restaurant crew member, or in a similar role is preferred.
- Experience in an Indian, South Asian, or busy casual-dining restaurant is an advantage.
- Basic English communication skills are required; additional languages are an advantage.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong teamwork and willingness to support colleagues.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good personal hygiene and professional appearance.
- Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and responsible.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
