What you’ll be doing
Rustic Cafe is a specialty coffee shop and eatery in Abu Dhabi, serving hot and cold beverages alongside a fresh daily menu of light bites. We are seeking a friendly and attentive Barista to help deliver high-quality drinks and a welcoming customer experience.
The successful candidate will support café operations while maintaining product quality, cleanliness, and positive interaction with guests.

- Prepare espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, cold beverages, and other menu items according to café recipes and quality standards.
- Greet customers, explain menu options, take accurate orders, and process payments efficiently.
- Maintain an inviting service environment and respond professionally to customer requests or concerns.
- Set up the workstation, restock ingredients and supplies, and monitor product freshness.
- Operate and clean espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, portion-control, and workplace procedures throughout each shift.
- Support preparation and service of light bites while coordinating effectively with the café team.
What we’re looking for
- Practical knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, brewing methods, and beverage presentation.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent taste, temperature, and presentation.
- Strong customer service, communication, and active listening skills.
- Comfortable operating a point-of-sale system and handling cash or card transactions accurately.
- Good understanding of food safety, personal hygiene, workstation sanitation, and safe equipment use.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Reliable team player with a positive, welcoming, and professional attitude.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift café supplies, and perform repetitive service tasks.
