What you’ll be doing
Samas Building Contracting LLC is seeking a Civil Supervisor to support construction operations in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will coordinate daily site activities, help maintain safe and orderly work areas, and ensure work progresses in line with approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality requirements.

- Supervise civil construction crews and subcontractors, assign daily tasks, and monitor work progress.
- Review drawings and work instructions, clarify site requirements, and escalate discrepancies to the project engineer.
- Check workmanship and materials against specifications, and report defects or corrective actions.
- Coordinate labor, tools, equipment, and material requirements to support planned activities.
- Monitor site safety practices, identify hazards, and ensure workers follow applicable procedures.
- Maintain daily progress records, attendance, inspection notes, and reports for project management.
- Coordinate inspections and handovers with engineers, consultants, and other site teams.
What we’re looking for
- Practical experience supervising civil construction activities, including concrete, masonry, finishing, or related building works.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and site instructions.
- Strong task planning, crew coordination, and progress-monitoring skills.
- Knowledge of construction quality checks, inspection processes, and defect follow-up.
- Understanding of site health and safety practices, hazard reporting, and safe work procedures.
- Effective communication with workers, subcontractors, engineers, and project representatives.
- Accurate daily reporting and basic documentation skills, including recording labor, materials, and progress.
- Ability to identify site constraints, resolve routine issues, and escalate technical concerns promptly.
- Comfortable working on site in Abu Dhabi and coordinating multiple activities to meet deadlines.
