We have the following requirements for a major projects of High Rise Building Construction at UAE.
Only candidates with high rise construction more that 10 floor can apply .
STRUCTURAL INSPECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Principal Role:
- Inspect and Supervise the works in accordance with spec/drawings
and Statutory regulations.
- Structural site audit
2. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Report to RE and SRE structural
- Carry out regular site inspections.
- Review and monitor Contractor's procedures/ practices for health and safety.
- Review and monitor contractor's shop drawings, materials and method statements.
- Record changes on site and Review as-built drawings/ submissions.
- Monitor contractor's progress on site.
- Audit Inspectors work as part of Site QA procedures.
3. Routine Activities
3.1. Site Inspections and Supervisions.
3.1.1 Inspect all permanent works for spec/ drawings compliance.
3.1.2 Check dimensions and levels/ profile.
3.1.3 Check for formwork/ false work / shutter work (dimensions/ verticality/ stability).
3.1.4 Implement ITP, Approved MS's, Check-list etc.
3.1.5 Maintain record of Inspection requests.
3.1.6 Take photos of construction activities /progress and maintain a
hard and soft copy of photographs.
3.1.7 Check/ watch any unapproved/ unauthorised works on site and notify.
3.1.8 Inspect/ watch temporary works on site, record and notify.
3.1.9 Check temporary access/ ramps/ ladders/ lighting.
3.2. Check/ watch safety on site and report incidents immediately.
3.3. Assist in administering safety programme.
3.4. Custodian of Shop drawings (Structural).
3.4.1 Arrange copies for site hanger set.
3.4.2 Maintain the Drawing hangers (design and shop).
3.4.3 Mark-up the design/ site changes on working drawings (for as-built).
3.4.4 Maintain a record of drawing approval status.
3.5. Carry out minimum 2 rounds of general inspections on site per day.
3.6. Initiate/ generate Site Notes and other Site Observations.
3.7. Visit lab/ plant, witness tests, material inspections.
3.8. Review of test results.
3.9. Co-ordinate MEP/ Architectural inspections wherever necessary/ required.
3.10. Check site manpower/ resource/ plant/ machinery on site as required.
3.11. Proper hand-over of inspections to the next shift.
3.12. Keep a copy of site related documents for site uses.
3.13. Maintain site diary on daily basis. Record all significant events
on site
3.14 Obtain final approval from the RE and SRE prior to
the pour on site
