Goodwe is currently seeking for a strong, dedicated Sales Manager/Director to address the strategic markets in MENA Region. The right candidate will shape the business of GoodWe and continually strive for GoodWe’s market share growth in the region.

Overview of this position

The Sales Manager/Director position is an excellent opportunity for a forward thinking, action-oriented professional looking for new challenges within a dynamic, growth-oriented company.

The successful candidate will be a highly independent and accountable individual who is focused on promoting GoodWe products and services while growing GoodWe market shares in MENA. You will interact with both existing and future customers in order to generate a deep understanding of the customer’s needs and the market requirements to ensure overall customer satisfaction.

The Position holder will report directly to MD of GoodWe Europe GmbH.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities for the role include (but not limited to):

• Create strategic positioning of GoodWE in the MENA Region

• Define the most suitable and powerful sales channel strategy

• Based on upon agreed strategy, build up the local structure, such as technical pre-sales and after-sales support, potentially also a logistical infrastructure

• Undertake deep market intelligence research for regional strategy refinement and business planning

• Identify, develop and close sales opportunities in accordance with Goodwe’s overall strategic plans and financial objectives.

• Develop and maintain relationships with solar distribution channels and strategic accounts.

• Actively pursue sales leads with Project/EPC/IPP Companies, distributors, wholesalers, installers and utility companies.

• Assist with forecast of revenue on a regular basis and review sales results to ensure that established targets are being met; take corrective action where required.

• Nurture the business relationship with leading PV project developers at multiple levels in order to understand customer needs.

• Promote customer understanding of full product offering, and align with the customer and internal teams to provide a solution while ensuring that GoodWe remains the supplier of choice for PV power conversion electronics.

• Assist the product management teams to define and improve the product portfolio for use in designated region by regularly gathering feedback from customers, business partners and by closely monitoring industry trends.

• Provide input regarding marketing and product positioning strategies specific to the designated markets.

• Successfully execute a brand strategy and act as an external evangelist for the brand.

• Liaise with headquarter and the global team and peers to ensure that sales targets are being defined and met.

• Build, consolidate and entrench the brand in MENA region.

Job Specification

Your background and skills:

Business & Sales Expertise:

• Business development expertise with a proven sales track record with tier 1 companies.

• Business closer with excellent negotiation skills

• Strongly networked within the renewable energy industry (preference within the Solar PV industry)

• Ability to influence major stakeholders both internally & externally.

• Strong communication skills including large group presentations & discussions.

• Superior organization skills with the ability to quickly assess priorities.

Customer Management Expertise

• Excellent customer relationship management.

• Ability to identify and convert new accounts while maintaining existing relationships.

• Able to confidently convey product benefits & cost advantages to customers.

• Demonstrate professionalism in working with customer to resolve emergency situations.

Desirable Attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or of related technical disciplines.

• Languages: Native Arabic, fluent in English.

• Professional sales expertise on an international level.

• Minimum 5+ years’ solid experience with solar products within photovoltaic industry in MENA Region, preferably with solar inverters.

• Flexibility in working within fast changing and demanding markets.

• International mindset for a multi-cultural environment.

• Willingness to proactively accommodate national and international travel.

• An energetic, highly motivated and driven person.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Team player is essential.
