Job profile: This position will manage and lead a team of technical people in allocating workload and managing the day to day operations to drive workshop performance in line with assigned sold hours target. It requires to co-ordinate with different departments and distributor team ensure Fix It Right process is followed and vehicles are delivered on time in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational performance: To maximize the sold hours from Aftersales operation to meet the revenue performance objectives through target setting
Fix It Right (FIR):
Adherence to FIR program as per Principal Guidelines & create a culture to follow FIR process
Identification and management of FIR concerns, and set actions to close GAP on set KPI’s
Submission of Branch Field Technical Reports (BFTR) as set by distributors and follow technical and service bulletins
Workshop Management
Management of attendance of all workshop associates.
Plan, manage and implement utilization, productivity and efficiency of technicians & wash bay as per Standard Operating Procedure.
Ensure regular quality control and take corrective action for any deviation through training and coaching.
Ensure on-time delivery of vehicles as per promised delivery time
People Management
Identify training needs and conduct on the job training as required.
Drive the performance management and individual development plan for the team
Promote associate engagement and conduct impact planning session.
Recruit the right manpower as per capacity model.
Vehicle Warranty Repair Management: Adherence to warranty process, procedure and timeline as stipulated by the Principal.
Workshop Inventory
Ensure that all the tools and equipment are available and maintained as per distributor tool list and guidelines.
Manage asset disposal as per Group policy.
Manage consumables and wash bay products
Perform monthly lubricants and consumable inventory audit.
Projects
Manage and promote Small Group Activity (SGA) and Kaizen effort in coordination with Aftersales Manager.
Support the implementation of special projects to enhance customer experience, such as transformation and Electronic Vehicle Health Check
Risk Management
Ensure compliance to HSSE & 4'S (Setting, Sorting, Sweeping and Spick & Span) guidelines
Manage environmental compliance and ensure proper scrap and waste management
Implement and adhere to all SOP's, memorandums issued by Head Office or Principal
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Diploma / bachelor’s Degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering
Technical certifications
Minimum Experience:
10 years of overall experience with automobile dealerships, of which 5 years should be in workshop management position.
Job-Specific Skills:
Automotive dealer / distributor business processes,
Working knowledge of MS office, ERP skills, KPI driven
