Senior Manager- Future Mobility
Job Purpose:
Newly created new business models and acceleration department (NBA) focuses on bringing and implementing the breakthrough and innovative ideas to the Al-Futtaim Automotive division.
NBA department is responsible for formulating the innovative ideas, gathering the market data, and providing the investment proposal to the executive board. Following the approval, the department is fully responsible for the incubation period, developing the cross-functional team and, setting and delivering the incubation KPIs including the P&L targets.
Nature of the future business are completely new and will be executed through joint ventures, M&A and Greenfields projects.
Senior Manager NBA – Future Mobility leads the future mobility vision, leads the breakthrough idea creations, product/project strategies to optimize and enhance the value to customers using agile, design thinking and other methodologies to accelerate the organization into the future through entrepreneurial development of new products and services.

Essentially, they are accountable for defining the product vision and working closely with internal / external experts, to get the best possible end-product to customers in the fastest possible manner.
This role will work in a fast-paced, start-up like environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams, and business stakeholders to accelerate the achievement of business results.
Key Responsibilities:
Future Mobility Innovation Ownership:
Develop a funnel of future ideas to set-up and commercialise for the future mobility part of the Automotive business
Collaborate with the new/used car executives as well as investment, M&A and transformation office leaders to strategize and prioritize the new investments
Set up the incubation project plan and cross functional teams
Project and Product Leadership:
Own the Mobility products vision – be the internal champion throughout the incubation period
Be the project leader of the new cross-functional team following the investment approval
Own the end to end product outcome and define the creation and direction of the product to achieve the commercial objectives during the incubation period
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define the roadmap and corresponding go-to-market strategies
Engage with the internal and external technology experts to determine the best implementation methods and guide them to deliver the most valuable outcomes possible
Supervise and advise the scrum team to ensure they understand the vision and strategy in sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, and retrospectives
Engage internal/external market and customer intelligence experts to provide domestic and international market and customer insights to create customer propositions
Align with finance on the formation of commercial business plans and financial analysis and engage with Legal on current contractual constraints/new contracts and advise on M&A options
Job Specification
Education, Qualification & Skills:
Education:
Business or Finance University Degree (MBA preferable)
Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
10 year + in Strategy, Product management and/or planning functions with previous experience within the Automotive industry with P&L responsibility
Expert knowledge of and experience in the automotive new and used value chain and disrupter space
Proven ability in building new, disruptive products/services and taking these to market establishing product market fit. (Start-up experience highly advantageous but not essential)
Experience of working with multiple parties and a variety of services, with proven ability in negotiations, preferably with AGILE or other Project management qualification
Solid business acumen, with the ability to identify the requirement to deliver the product/service and equally adept at solving complex problems and influencing teams and management to deliver them
Excellent analytical skills paired with experience in using analytics software.
The ability to flourish in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting and drive new initiatives.
