About the Job:
We currently looking for an experienced Branch Accountant to join our team in Dubai. Reporting to the Finance Controller, you will ensure that all the Retail / Trade clients are promptly and accurately invoiced and Revenue collections are banked on a daily basis. Branch accountant ensures that the purchase Cash Floats / petty cash floats are managed accurately along with complete documentation. You will ensure complete adherence to DOA & policies while accounting for cash transactions, liaising with AFSS/APSSC for claims reimbursements, accounting etc., and should have good understanding of tax rules.
Specifically, your key responsibilities are as follows:
Handle Customer payments (Cash/Cheque/Credit card Payments with utmost accuracy
Ensure daily collections are banked on time
Coordinate with AFSS / APSSC for timely bank reconciliation
Take prompt action on bounced cheques and unauthorized credit cards
Coordinate with Buyers in managing Cash / Cheque / mortgage settlements of used vehicle buying along with related documentation
Liaise with Branch Manager, Payable accountant, APSSC, AFSS while accounting, claim reimbursement process and respond to queries on a timely basis
Review, reconcile and report purchase floats on regular intervals &/or as & when required by the finance team
Ensure Tax compliance
Handle petty Cash spend and claim process accurately in line with policies and procedures
Adherence to DOA while seeking approvals of various types of petty cash spend
Maintain all relevant documents for review purposes
Prepare KPI reports for business on a weekly basis
Handle Audit Queries
Prepare Daily/weekly reports on Petty cash / Purchase Cash floats & escalate any related deviations (documentation, process etc.,) to finance controller for appropriate actions
Preparation of AR Report on a weekly basis for all the branches and forward to Business/Branch managers for feedback on the collection status and send to AFF for feed back from panel banks and report back to AFSS and Branches for taking action on timely collection of overdue deals.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, knowledge and experience:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Internationally recognized Accountancy Qualification β Qualified or Studying
Minimum Experience: 5 years Financial Accounting experience in the auto sector
Job-Specific Skills: Excellent communication skills, planning and organisation. Strong analytical skills, strong commercial acumen and problem solving skills.
