Senior IT Operations Engineer at Checkout.com
 
Checkout.com is actively looking for an enthusiastic and experienced IT Operations engineer to be a key figure for providing support to the rapidly expanding business in the MENA region. Primarily responsible for providing world class technical support and direction to users in the region, but also to contribute to global standardisation and implementation initiatives.
 
Based in our Dubai office, you will work with a wide range of end users across the region to diagnose and resolve technical issues, helping key stakeholders do their job faster and better, whilst contributing to the wider strategy plans of the IT Operations team.
 
The ideal candidate must be self motivated and be comfortable working with a wider global team. Communication is key, as you will be in contact with all levels of staff, as well as acting as an ambassador of the business when speaking with vendors. You must thrive in fast paced environments, willing to contribute to the development of the team.

About You

  • 3-5 years experience in a Service Desk or IT Service Management role.
  • Experience in administering Gsuite, M365, Azure and Okta is essential
  • An excellent understanding of how networks operate both locally and in the cloud
  • An excellent understanding of SAAS technology, how they are administered and managed.
  • Excellent abilities to manage the monitoring of infrastructure and services.
  • Excellent abilities managing large workloads, and being solely responsible for a large number of users.
  • The ability to work under pressure and in an organised manner.
  • ITIL v4 foundation
  • Experience managing projects and working with key stakeholders

What you will be doing

  • Provide technical support to our local and branch users, on a mix of Windows and Mac devices
  • Administration of accounts within management tools. Okta, Gsuite, Airwatch
  • Take ownership and resolve issues and requests to completion
  • Be involved in project work and responsible for tasks
  • Support and administer a wide range of SAAS apps
  • Document system configurations and update existing system documentation
  • Repair/replace hardware and software as required
  • Take charge and action the IT on/off boarding process to ensure a smooth start date
  • Provide individual and group training and support on request
  • Maintain IT assets & inventories
