We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager - Buying amp; Planning for our Mizzen division based in Dubai. The brands we currently represent are Aesop, Gentle Monster and Orlebar Brown for the region.

The Assistant Manager - Buying amp; Planning is responsible for maximizing margins through inventory management and price alignment with brands, executing overall brand strategy, as well as partnering and maintaining key internal and external relationships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report business performance by category sales, sell-out, gross margin and turnover and translate insights into key selling points, or category opportunities
  • Coordinate with Brand principals, Logistics, Marketing, Finance, IT and Retail for merchandise cycle
  • Monitor and report market trends and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities
  • Manage product portfolio based on demand trends to minimize unnecessary product proliferation
  • Review marketing plans to ensure alignment with inventory
  • Oversee the distribution channels (Duty-Free, department stores, wholesale accounts or online platforms) to ensure timely orders, replenishment, and presence
  • Provide direction and supervision to the Brand Administrator, and oversee constant skill development



Requirements

Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory management/buying
  • Experience in Inventory Management and Stock Rotation/ Turn would be mandatory
  • Good understanding of Retail and Marketing Principles
  • Exposure to E-Commerce inventory management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen forecasting ability and knowledgeable in-store operations metrics/ numeric reporting
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in Beauty, Fashion or Accessories will be preferred
