Job Purpose
Safely, efficiently and effectively receive, store, and retrieve materials/ supplies and other items from the stockroom or warehouse. Keep accurate records and maintain optimum level of materials/ supplies as per the contract requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer (ERP) or using a database. Examine and inspect stock items for defects, reporting any damage to client representative and/or procuring officer.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or designated storage areas.
- Perform regular inventory check by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with HSamp;E regulations.
- Issue or distribute materials/ supplies to coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
- Monitor stock levels of supplies/ materials and send timely stock/ supplies requisition to procuring officer to ensure optimum inventory levels.
- Has stop work authority if a safety or potential safety situation occurs.

- Apply and follow the contractual obligations, GCCS’ policies, and procedures.
- Follow, apply and maintain all applicable ISO standards and requirements.
- Comply with QHSE policies and rules set by the company and to continually support the same to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Work Contacts
Regular contact with the procuring officer of materials/ supplies to ensure optimal levels of inventory is maintained. Regular contact with the Contract Manager on the work progress or issues faced in the performance of work to ensure issues are addressed promptly.
Latitude of Work
Performs tasks based on contract guidelines and specifications, following established company standards and policies. Work assignments are subject to review, discussion, and direction at periodic intervals.
Physical Effort
Regular lifting, carrying, and pushing of materials of up to 50 lbs
Regular operation of MHE equipment, 6K/10K forklift
Work Conditions
Individual must be able to perform required duties while wearing and utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Individual must be physically capable of performing the work in extreme temperatures, low humidity, blowing sand and dust.
Living and working conditions at a remote location
Individual may be required to work extended hours, shift work.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years' related experience
Licensed to operate 6K/10K forklift
Skills and Competencies
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package- Excel and any ERP system SAP, Oracle based.
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate the operations of the stockrooms and warehouses.
