Job Description
Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience addressing the re-architecture of legacy networks to be run on public cloud. The candidate will be able to envision, architect and present the solution to executives at our largest Telco customers. Domain areas of expertise include most or some of the following:
· In depth understanding and familiarity with the Telecommunications industry
· Deep expertise in wired and wireless network architecture
· Thorough knowledge about telecommunications processes and systems
· Granular understanding of the economics of wired network operation including BSS/OSS implementations
· Good background in technology transformation via digital technology adoption especially cloud native implementations
· Tight grasp of Infrastructure requirements for areas where cloud adoption is not mature
· Must have multiple cycles of moving Enterprise workloads to a cloud native environment from a COTS environment
· Proven thought leadership in some of the following domains: 5G, 4G, Enterprise cloud connectivity, SDWAN, SASE, CaaS, Hybrid Cloud architecture, Edge Compute and Connectivity, MPLS
· Executive level network transformation proposal delivery
Responsibilities Include:
· Providing business transformation and digital technology adoption thought leadership to AWS telco partners
· Conducting executive workshops with global telco leaders
· Engaging and leading strategic discussions with telco Senior leaders regarding business transformation
· Helping telcos identify transformational opportunities and driving adoption of AWS solutions
· Inventing and delivering new offerings collaborating with AWS professional services, services teams, partners, and Amazon product teams
· Identifying and scoping high impact network transformation solutions with measurable business results for our customers
· Providing telco thought leadership by participating in industry conferences and executive briefings
· Supporting presales activities for Global Accounts and influence activities of our Enterprise Accounts
· Supporting our AWS Partner Network and key industry ISVs with their Telco solutions on AWS
Job Specification
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 10+ Years in networking at a product executive level
· 10+ years of experience in client related interactions (presentations, building relationships, structuring and providing program oversight, working with partners, statement of works/commercials exposure)
· 5+ years experience with $100M+ businesses in the Telco sector in sales or business development capacity
· Bachelor of Science degree in electrical or electronic eng with focus on communications networks; or equivalent degree/experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Masters of Business Administration or other relevant advanced degrees
· AWS Cloud Certifications
· Industry vertical experience in Wired or Wireless Telcos
