Job Description

Myriad Global Media Middle East based in Abu Dhabi is part of an award winning, internationally based agency of strategic and marketing communications professionals, producing cutting-edge corporate digital communications content. This includes interactive, VR/AR applications, films, animation, photography, design and print, exhibitions and events. Also strategic advice around communications planning and stakeholder engagement. We believe there is no one-size-fits-all answer to corporate communications. To this end, we design solutions that are precisely customized to suit each objective, audience and available resource delivered on time and on budget.

We are seeking a motivated and focused Head of New Business Development reporting directly to the Myriad Global CEO to drive and implement growth plans. You will be responsible for growing the existing client base in the region and identify new business opportunities, whilst maintaining the company values.

What to expect:

  • You will be responsible for growing the existing client base in the region and identify new business opportunities, whilst maintaining the company values.
  • Develop a strategy with the Abu Dhabi team to ensure delivery of the regional sales targets
  • Expansion of business usage/revenue within current client base through networking, referrals, offering other services and engagement.
  • Looking at opportunities in the Medical, Defence, Energy, Government, Logistics and other key areas to offer clients ‘world class’ thinking, innovation and delivery which differentiates both the recipient clients and also MGM.
  • Also collaborating with MGM teams globally to develop solutions and ideas that work across borders.
  • Increasing client base by bringing on new clients within the medical, energy, tech and government sectors. This will be achieved by leveraging the knowledge, existing work and reputation from the client base already in place, extensive new business development and ideally generating business through their own network.
  • Optimizing usage of digital/online facilities to gain and win new accounts and business
  • Continuously ensure that a combination of consulting (trusted advice and strategy) and a fully diversified portfolio is offered to key clients, giving them a thorough understanding of services offered.
  • Assist in the budget setting of all projects working with Project/Production Managers and the Leadership team.
  • Contribute to the development of the business plan and strategy
  • Connect with account management and BD colleagues in London, Houston and Abu Dhabi to share ideas, connections, knowledge and best practice.
  • Maintain accurate activity and opportunity data in the company CRM (Salesforce).
  • Regularly brief leadership team on market activity and opportunities.
  • Actively seek public speaking opportunities at relevant industry events.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field of equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years experience in a B2B sales role with a proven track record of working with both technical clients and consumer orientated clients.
  • 5+ years of strategic communication planning and implementation experience. Knowledge of digital communication products such as video, animation, interactives and website development required. Knowledge of / experience with new technology such as App, Virtual and Augmented Reality, etc. highly preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly communicative and enjoy interacting with industry professionals on a commercial level.

Benefits

  • Salary commensurate with experience. After 12 months have elapsed an annual salary review will take place.
  • In addition to a base salary a bonus structure will be put in place that recognises profitable repeat work generated from new and existing clients.
  • In addition to a base salary the company will provide health care insurance in line with the policy and provider as used by the company. This cover will extend to cover the employee and three dependents.
  • Holiday entitlement of 25 working days will be available per year in addition to local/national holidays.
  • In addition to a base salary one annual flight will be paid for by the company, covering economy class travel to a single destination for you and three dependents. This annual travel allowance may not be taken during your probation period.
