SENIOR DATA ANALYST
Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to use their passion for big data and analytics to provide the understanding and advancing of AFA division knowledge of customer behavior by building and maintaining a 360° view of the Customer.
This role is for a Business Insights Analyst that is responsible for developing a standardized suite of business reports, in the functional areas of Sales, Leads, Operations, Service, Customer, Digital, Ecommerce across the entire Automotive organization (UAE and Overseas)
This role will be based out of Dubai Festival City, and will report to the Customer Data Manager.
Below are the key responsibilities:
Dashboarding/Reporting:
• Develop clear visualizations to convey complicated data in a straightforward fashion & continually develop the Automotive Insights Portal. • Support in the development of data standards and protocols to ensure scalability and support self-service data use.
Data Management:
• Work closely with the Customer Data Manager, group Data / IT teams and the Automotive brands, and potentially vendors, to identify data governance, data quality and analytics opportunities based on a deep understanding of our businesses and their information assets. • Conducting data quality assessments, ensuring with all stakeholders are always adhering to data structure & protocols (ingesting or exporting data / hashing data) • Conduct data quality measurements according to defined data quality rules.
Data Engineering:
• Synthesize information from various sources- i.e. CRM, SAP, BI, new data source to Extract/generate periodic customized/standard reports as required. • Use available tools to manually apply required transformations, enrichments, and data derivations in order to prototype outcomes for data consumers. • Use modern tools and technologies to identify and prioritize opportunities for automation across data sourcing and transformation and communicate transformation, data derivation and cleansing logic effectively to engineers and stakeholders.
Job Context
The position impacts the organization by supporting the data governance and data quality performance, data analysis & reporting, including metrics, KPIs and issue remediation in conjunction with data owners. The incumbent is expected to establish themselves as a subject matter expert with both the Automotive brands and the Group support functions (group IT and Data / Analytics). They will collaborate and, where practicable, support standardizing of processes, methodologies and procedures that can be applied throughout the Automotive division.
In this role, the incumbent would manage and continually develop the proprietary Al-Futtaim Automotive Insights & Analytics platform (developed on Tableau & Alteryx) using SQL. This would entail, Master Data Maintenance & Hygiene, Dashboard Creation, & Visualization.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
B.Sc. Degree. Computer Science/statistics or any other numerical degree
Experience working with large data sets
Highly proficient in SQL
Expert knowledge of Tableau & Alteryx
Hands-on experience of developing and maintaining data pipelines and builds out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity
Verifiable knowledge & experience of website optimization using Google Analytics (Big Query)
Knowledge of dimensional and relational modelling techniques
Excellent storyteller as in bringing data to life through data and insights
Ability to build relationships with customers and stakeholders to gain in-depth understanding of Customer problems and needs
Very organized with very high-level attention to details
Ability to self-manage and self-motivate.
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Candidates who are considered for this role should have demonstrated a high-level of Commercial Acumen, Excellent IT skills including expert knowledge and experience of database structures, Analytics systems (preferably Tableau & Alteryx), SQL and advanced Excel skills.
Minimum of 3 years of working experience in data, campaign measurement, insights and data science, covering both technical and insights management
