Job Description
A Ship repair company in UAE is seeking a Qualified MIG and TIG Welding Team Lead. Candidates will be working directly in the weld department managing and overseeing the welding team and will be directly reponsible for all MIG and TIG Welding as well.
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in welding and cutting of products and structures, applying knowledge of welding and cutting techniques, materials, and equipment, and fabrication requirements
Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine need for supplies and sequence of operations required.
Requisititions suppllies, such as weld rods, gas, flux and fixtures.
Inspects work or confers with weld inspector to maintain specified standards and quality.
Trains workers in operation of equipment, set up of machines or make trial welds to make test runs and experimental products.
Supervises fitting and assembly of structural frames.
Supervises job scheduling and all welders in-plant in a job-shop environment.
Performs other duties as described under supervisor.
Job Specification
The Welding Team Lead will contribute in the development of welding, testing standards and process improvements to establish more cost effective methods for operation, Minimum 5 years experience in a metal fabrication welding job shop environment.
