Join Rainmaking, a global corporate innovation and venture development firm, to impact the Middle East’s fast-growing startup ecosystem as the
Account Director/ Project Manager.
We're looking for someone passionate about creating new businesses and helping build new ventures with corporate partners. With a personality that is genuine, honest and capable of building strong working relationships within the team and with c-suite stakeholders.
You will need to be comfortable and credible working with and challenging senior decision-makers (C-suite, board members, business line owners) at established corporates. Thus, the role requires you to be a confident and comfortable public speaker.Key responsibilities:
- creating insights into how macro trends and shifts in the competitive landscape influence the venture opportunities in that space
- evaluating how new business models can be applied effectively to create new value
- understanding how we can best leverage the assets of our corporate partners to create competitive advantage
- examining market size and building the business case of potential ventures
- engaging with customer segments via qualitative methods to truly understand their needs
- rapid prototyping and testing potential solutions with the customer segments
- recruiting and supporting our founder teams (or joining as a founder yourself)
- handling client relationship; providing guidance, managing expectations, suggesting the best options
Requirements to apply:
- Minimum 7- 10 years of combined experiencewith strategy development, business planning and/or venture building, as well as quantitative and economic modeling (experience in strategy consulting, founding startups or venture capital preferred)
- Understanding and demonstrating practice of lean startup and/or design thinking methodology
- Experience in leading teams
- Experience in a high-pressure start-up or corporate environment with exposure to multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in handling client relationship
- Experience in product management, UX/UI ethnographic research, or management consulting would be a plus
- Exceptional ability to communicate, both written and verbal, presenting credibly and effectively to senior stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills - you take ownership of your team and their work and you are willing to help people around you to become even better
