Job Title: Motor Winder
Reports to: EML Workshop Supervisor
Department: EML Workshop

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for dismantling, repairing, overhauling, and troubleshooting, maintaining all type of electrical motor winding, water pumps. Responsibilities also include installing, commissioning and testing complete motor, water pumps package setups on site.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Electrical motor & water pump service
Inspection of Motors, pumps, blower on site, produce technical report
Carryout dismantling, rewinding, assembling and testing of Electric Motor.
Carryout dry run test of Motor / Compressor/ Submersible pump in work shop
Carryout the field installation of Motor / compressor / submersible pump and observe the working status
Carryout dismantling, replacement of parts, overhauling and assembling the pump & blower
QHSE
Contribute to safe systems of work and the development of quality management systems by ensuring all work practices comply with relevant safety standard
Ensure that measures to protect personal safety and well-being are always in place and that personal actions do not jeopardize the safety and well-being of others
Adhere strictly to all safe operating procedures, and safe work instructions- thus preventing potential incidents at all times
Comply with HSE Policy
Behavioural and discipline
Punctuality, time management and proper communication with supervisor, team and customers

Job Specification
JOB CONTEXT
Al Futtaim engineering is a multi- disciplinary engineering company in the UAE, Qatar and lower gulf region. Facility Management division is specialized in providing the facilities maintenance to its customer. Job holder will play a key role to meet and enhance the customer requirement in line with the company’s policy and objective. Ability to listen to customer, empathies and provide appropriate solutions to achieve satisfactory results. Effective team player. Should be able to work in shifts across emirates.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications, Certification and Knowledge:
Industrial Training Institute (ITI) / High School Certificate
Certificate / Basic English level 3 (Read & Write)
Basic knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
Good knowledge of electrical motors (AC & DC Motor)
Good knowledge of pumps (pressure pump, stage pump, centrifugal pump)
Responsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports, expense reports, timesheets and other necessary paperwork daily.
Basic understanding of functionality of each parts and equipment standard operating values.
Minimum Experience:
3-5 years of experience in GCC as a motor winder.
Job-Specific Skills:
Trouble shooting, Overhauling all type of electrical motor (Star/Delta, part winding connection)
Able to read, understand electrical circuit diagram and basic functions of electrical motor, control power, and control components and troubleshoot.
Ability to work with industry specified tools (handling brazing sets, pressure regulators, Vacuum pump, hand tools analogue /Digital multi-meter and insulation meter
Carryout repair/ replace, re-commission activities like, replacement of motor, overhauling of pumps and pressure testing.
Able to carry out site inspection of chiller compressors and chilled water pump
Respond to recurring problems and emergency services, as needed
