At AWS, we are hiring the best cloud security architects to help our customers and partners develop technical expertise and capacity. Our consultants will collaborate with partner and client teams to deliver proof-of-concept projects, conduct topical workshops, and lead implementation projects. These professional services engagements will focus on key customer solutions such as web applications, enterprise applications, HPC, batch processing and big data, networking, archiving and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities include: As Staff Consultant you will manage projects independently and also deliver as part of larger teams.
You will work with customers and partners internalizing their context while using your business and technical skills to design solutions based on requirements and constraints. You will own and complete key tasks and deliverables, and collaborate with others to define and implement optimal, complete solutions based on stakeholders needs.
You will work towards customer business outcomes, ensuring there is a strong connection between delivery activities and business objectives.

This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.
Job Specification
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
· 10+ years of experience in IT security, compliance and risk management, data privacy, or security controls
· 7+ years of experience as a technical specialist in customer-facing roles
· Experience advising customers on architectures meeting industry standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST/DoD frameworks
· Experience with enterprise risk management methods and techniques to drive successful outcomes in a global enterprise environment
· Good experience and knowledge in cloud security
· Good understanding of regional security standards and regulations
· Relevant cloud security certification (CCSP, CCSK or simila)
· Experience in working with enterprise customers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Math.
· At least one active project management certification (e.g. CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, PMP, PRINCE2, APM, etc.)
· Knowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3).
· Experience presenting business, project and solution topics to audiences of different roles including AWS and customer’s technical experts, project managers and line of business directors.
· Experience with Agile Project Management (APM) toolsets (Jira, RallyDev, VersionOne, Taiga, etc.) and team collaboration tools (Confluence, etc.)
· FinancialForce Professional Services Automation (PSA) for Salesforce or similar PSA application
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
· Experience working with financial sector customers
· Experience working in professional services
