You will be working as an Account Manager and will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role you will be reporting to the Global Account Manager and will be responsible for establishing and developing account relationships based on a defined strategy. You will also be responsible for coordinating the sales activities and providing resolution to the customers.

Your responsibilities

Acting as a focal point for the problem resolution and monitoring customer claims as well as plans, facilitating and conducting customer negotiations.

Developing, maintaining and sharing detailed knowledge of the customer’s business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends, and competition.

Participating in the development of sales strategies for the accounts by providing the customer’s current business and long-term plans.

Leading the development and implementing account plans to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans by prioritizing the opportunities and identifying a target for each solution element.

Defining and proposing sales targets and growth margins for the account and ensuring their achievement with a structured process. Monitoring competitors’ activity with each account and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.

Coordinating the use of internal or external resources (e.g. technical, advertising and marketing) to provide value added services to accounts. Coaching, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates.

Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives. Developing new business with existing clients and/or identifying areas of improvement and increasing ABB’s footprint installed base.

Collaborating with the sales team to identify the growth. Coordinating customer meetings and discussions for all levels.

Job Specification

Your background

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

Minimum 5 years of experience is required in sales from oil and gas or power and water industry.

Proven work experience as an account manager, key account manager, sales account manager, junior account manager or relevant role.

Strong customer negotiation skills.

Experience in delivering client-focused solutions to the customer needs.

Proven ability to handle multiple accounts at a time.

Strong relationship of Abu Dhabi entities.

Fluency in both spoken and written English & Arabic language is a must.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
