You will be working as a Project Lead Engineer and will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role you will be reporting to Automation Engineering Manager and will responsible as project lead and technical specialist for either ABB 800xA Process Control & Safety Systems, Power Management Systems (PMS) and Substation Control & Monitoring Systems (SCMS), or ABB DCS Symphony/INFI90 Automation system products and cyber security.
Your responsibilities
Providing high level technical support and coordination of product issues to customers within the Gulf region.
Coordinating and resolving high level technical issues/questions and providing advice to the customers at sites. Troubleshooting automation system especially ABB 800xA at onshore and offshore site for Oil & Gas customer.
Providing and creating a team approach for service-related activities and offering a complete lifecycle approach to the customer for product implementation, support and ultimate system upgrades.
Delivering a professional and quality service in line with ABB and customer requirements, improve and grow ABB service business.
Having good knowledge of cyber security solutions such as network hardening, system hardening, backup solutions, patch management for automation system especially ABB 800xA.
Having good knowledge of networking solutions especially using Hirschman networking products, domain setup, group policies management for automation system especially with ABB 800xA.
Involving and assisting with new projects, especially with system testing for customers during FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), commissioning, and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) Activities.

Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience is required as project engineer for automation/networks areas
We are looking for candidates for multiple vacancies as Project Lead Engineer who has one of the following product knowledge & engineering skills:
PMS/SCMS Engineer (800xA PMS/SCMS System): To be proficient in ABB PPM (Process Power Manager) Library especially in Load Shedding and Load Sharing applications, IED engineering tools, especially using ABB PCM600 with ABB Relion Series Relays, and interface configuration using different protocols like IEC 61850, IEC 101, IEC 104, Modbus between ABB 800xA and ABB products & third-party systems.
ICSS Engineer (800xA PCS and Safety Systems): To be proficient in application engineering for both Process Control and Safety Systems, especially using ABB 800xA with AC 800M Control, and interface configuration using different industrial protocols between ABB 800xA and ABB products & third-party systems.
DCS and Cyber Security Engineer (Infi90 DCS and Cyber Security): To be proficient in ABB Symphony/Infi90 DCS Systems with 800xA and have good knowledge in cyber security.
Should have knowledge of overall automation systems understanding, combined with process knowledge in Oil, Gas & Chemical.
Experience with onshore and offshore Oil and Gas customer especially ADNOC and GCC customers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally.
