This is a hands-on opportunity that focuses on Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition, process improvement and month end reporting. While being a part of a cohesive team with dynamic work environment, you will be reporting to the AR Team Lead.

What you'll be doing

• Manage a team of AR accountants and Banking allocation coordinators to optimize processes such as:
  - Customer accounts reconciliation
  - Ensuring accurate payments allocation
  - Credit note management
  - Reviewing and making recommendations regarding bad debt or write-offs
  - Reconciliation of cash books
• Ensuring proper GL close to agreed timelines and completion of all Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Ensuring valid, accurate and timely recording of all sales invoices including management of invoice preparation.
• Overseeing transaction posting in the area of AR and resolve any issues.
• Assisting in the annual audit and working with auditors on all issues for revenue recognition.
• This role requires liaising with the wider Bayut and dubizzle sales and operations teams, clients and other relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify possible improvements and suggest steps to implement them.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or Accounting from a recognized institution
• CA/ACCA/CPA qualified or part qualified

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• In-depth understanding of the full receivable process

• UAE VAT knowledge
• Proven track record to drive departmental and process improvements

• Advanced Excel skills
