Our growing team in Ivory Coast is in need of an experienced Planning Engineer who has excellent project management skills and has extensive Middle East region work exposure with main contractors in the building and construction industry.
This role's key responsibilities include:
- Understanding project specifications, components, drawings, BOQs, and developing baseline program by adapting appropriate phasing and zoning plans.
- Establishing the resource-loading schedule within the allowable budget. Prepares the 'Approval' process flow chart and tracks this flow chart, in line with project requirements.
- Analyze the critical path in P6 and notify the Project Manager of the foremost list of critical path activities.
- Track the delivery of long-lead materials into stage-wise requirements at the site, highlighting the priority of materials to the Project Manager, as per the agreed schedule.
- Establishes the delay analysis by capturing the delay analysis, notification and EOT claims accurately, in line with the project requirements.
- Prepares the Look-ahead schedules, KPI tracker, and progress updates.
- Setup presentation of the Progress updates including layout illustration.
- Identifies issues that delay a project with detailed reports, as per the agreed schedule, and works with the team to ensure the identified delays are addressed.
- Generate an overall method statement describing the engineering flow process, procurement strategy, logistics, site storage, material movement, construction, testing, and commissioning.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience with the main contractor as a planning engineer in the Middle East Region
- Certified Professional in Primavera (latest version)
- In-depth technical knowledge of the construction work Sequence, Logic amp; Interface.
- Experience in the Healthcare industry desirable but not mandatory
- Experience in Modular and Warehouse Building industry desirable but not mandatory
- Deep understanding of the sequencing of work and the strategy of creating effective project schedules
- Specialized skills in MS Excel by demonstrating skills in creating reports using dynamic formulas, Pivot table, and Macros
- Planning and project management skills
- Strong communication and ability to conduct a presentation in meetings
- Strong analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills
- Sound understanding of project safety protocols
- Ability to focus under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent team skills
