JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Total Quality Management Specialist
Reporting: General Manager

Qualifications:

- Candidate should be Graduate in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
- He should have 8-10 years experience in TQM Implementation in manufacturing industry.
- Preferably should be qualified as a Trainer.
- Preferably, he should be a QMS / ISO 14000 / OSHA Lead Auditor.

Experience & Skills Required:

- Excellent verbal & written Communication skills in English
- Should have hands on experience in developing, organizing, communicating and promoting the TQM program. This includes the identification, development and implementation of required policies and procedures. Manage the Total Quality Management Section & Principal Accountabilities.
- Provide a link between senior management and various task groups by giving progress reports and ensuring the senior management continues to provide support.
- Coordinate all activities of task groups to ensure that tasks undertaken do not overlap, repeat or conflict.
- Create a continuous Improvement & Learning Organization Claimant. Develop an Openness and Trust Claimant, solicit employees' ideas and feedback & provide training when needed.
- Ensure adequate communications at all levels and among all group members. Utilize all possible quality tools to promote TQM culture. Promote and implement statistical techniques throughout the organization to better view and control processes.
- Utilize cost of quality techniques to control and effectively improve product and service quality. Promote six sigma techniques to improve quality of products. Map processes and utilize quality tools to improve them.
- Develop, Monitor, measure and analyze these processes within the organization. Generic means of data analysis to improve on the level of implementation & Continuous Improvement.
- Any other job assigned by the Management on time to time basis.

Job Specification

Head of Quality Assurance Department and Management Representative: Presently working as Head of Quality Assurance responsible for overall matters related to Lean Manufacturing, Quality Management System, Toyota Production System (TPS), Cost of Quality in Alsons Auto Parts (Private) Limited, Karachi from May 2009. Basic responsibilities include reporting progress related to Quality Management System, Lean Manufacturing, TPS derivative of TS16949 Automotive Manufacturing Standard to Alsons Group Chairman and Board of Directors. Also responsible to maintain policies related to Kaizen (Continous Improvement) and 5S Standards by presenting Awards and Recognition to Alsons Group Employees. Providing Training Sessions to upgrade the effectiveness and efficiency of Alsons Employees. Top Management Certified Trainer (TMCT): Presently registered as Certified Top Management Trainer for Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Pakistan from October 2008, on if and when available basis. Basic Clients include Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), Pakistan Standard Institute, etc. Project Operations Manager (POM): Worked as Project Operations Manager for production, quality and maintenance activities in Shahsons (Private) Limited from November, 2003 to October 2008. Also was responsible for assisting Factory Manager for activities relating to forecast follow-up, New Product Development, Installation of Machines, coordinating with Head of Departments for Production Planning and Control. Also am assigned as Management Representative for Quality Management System. Quality Assurance Manager (QAM); Quality Management Representative (QMR): Worked as Quality Assurance Manager in A. Regalia (Pvt.) Ltd and Cotton & Cotton from October 25, 2002 to November 2003.
