Summary: This role will support the development of the Huda Beauty business within Travel Retail and through close partnership with the TR Director, be responsible for supporting a sustainable and profitable growth strategy over the next few years for this pillar.

The Senior Commercial Manager will own the day-to-day relationship with the travel retail operator, and he/she will need to develop a strong professional relationship with key personnel at the operator to realize the agreed strategy. The role will entail both strategic planning and execution by working with internal teams in Dubai with occasional travel required. The role will heavily be weighted to the planning and implementation of a FSS project in a Duty-Free environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support in executing the roadmap to TR growth and identifying opportunities that compliment our brand and category mix as well as our target consumer.
  • Lead the successful implementation of a FSS within an airport including orchestration of all supporting depts, following at CTP, problem solving and delivering on a planned open date- all factors considered.
  • Pricing and Product- work on the pricing strategy for travel retail and partner closely with the PD team on a product strategy that compliments the environment.
  • People- manage a boutique structure- that is operating around the clock. Involvement in recruitment of team and successful onboarding.
  • Optimize BA productivity through KPI setting and implementation of an incentive program working closely with the store manager.
  • Execute agreed plans, analyze performance continuously and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Key KPI’s: sales, market share, Pamp;L, forecasting accuracy, stock health including implementation of loss/prevention methods. Working closely with the finance team and the planning team in Dubai.
  • Manage a customer-centric approach. Develop relationship with the travel retail operators built on integrity and trust - growing and nurturing the network within their business, providing them with reliable, timely support and being known as the go-to partner for our brands.
  • Monitor and communicate on account performance to key internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a commercial customer-facing role
  • Travel Retail experience- free standing store experience preferred
  • Excellent leadership amp; communication skills
  • Proven knowledge of retailer strategies and objectives
  • Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines and ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Operating with diligence and attention to detail. Must be flexible and determined, possessing the ability to handle a multitude of projects and the willingness to put in the time necessary for success
  • Strong analytical skills including competency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the demands of a Travel Retail Environment
  • Dubai based role occasional travel required
