Job Description
Okadoc is a leading telemedicine platform in the United Arab Emirates that connects patients with doctors through video consultations. Okadoc is available on both web and mobile platforms, making it easy for patients to access medical care from the comfort of their own homes. Now we're looking for a Senior Product UI/UX Designer to become a part of our wonderful Okadoc family.
The Role
We are seeking a Product UI/UX Designer to join our team and contribute / lead the design process of our products. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in UI/UX design and a deep understanding of the local market.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design of the user interface and user experience for our products, ensuring that they meet the needs and expectations of local users.
- Work closely with the product owners, business team and engineering team to ensure that the design is aligned with the overall product strategy.
- Conduct user research and testing to gather feedback from the users on the design process and make improvements as needed.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate the design to the engineering team and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other designers and cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in design across all products.
- Stay up to date with the latest design trends and tools to ensure that our products are competitive in the local market.
Requirements
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design.
- Excellent speaking in Arabic is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of the local market in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and others.
- Experience conducting user research and testing.
- A portfolio that demonstrates your experience and design process.
- Strong understanding of design principles and user-centered design methodologies.
- Systematic, analytic, and strong logical thinking.
- Familiar with modern agile framework.
- Possess a high attention to detail, with an attitude that strives for perfection.
- Show initiative. This is a crucial role within Okadoc, which will help product teams through the roadmap, whilst working closely with engineering teams. You must be able to demonstrate a good initiative and have a problem-solving mindset.
Ideally, you should also have:
- Familiar with all modern technology and how it will impact your design process for web, mobile web and mobile apps.
- Experience working with a remote team.
