Job Description
We are looking for a Commercial Lawyer (TMT) for EMPG Group who will work closely with our General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel to assist and oversee businesses in their compliance with the corporate process. You will also be responsible for providing sound advice and handle all complex commercial legal matters, as part of the Legal team across EMPG.

In this role, you will:
- Oversee commercial legal matters mainly focussing on the TMT sector
- Draft and amend commercial contracts and any other commercial agreements
- Provide advice on existing and new commercial agreements
- Prepare commercial reports and other legal documents focussing on the TMT sector
- Provide commercial legal support to the business
- Be a point of contact for any UAE commercial legal advice
- Support in creating processes and systems in place in respect of commercial legal matters in the UAE
- and the wider group
- Stay up-to-date with the legislative changes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent certification in England amp; Wales, Australia or South Africa (or equivalent commonwealth country) and training at an international law firm in one or more of those jurisdictions.
- Minimum PQE 3-5 years of experience in an international law firm ideally or multinational organisation
- Experience working as a TMT lawyer (data privacy, technology, strategic sourcing and IT advisory matters)
- Proven background in TMT law
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive documents and have exceptional organisational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent academics, drafting skills and the ability to grasp and navigate complex legal matters.
- Well organised and capable of managing multiple matters efficiently and prioritising appropriately.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in other practice areas, corporate law etc.
- Articulate, with strong commercial acumen
