Job Description
We are looking for a Corporate Mamp;A Lawyer, who will be supporting our Legal Counsel and ultimately the General Counsel to handle all complex corporate and commercial legal matters and projects, as part of the Legal team across the EMPG group.

In this role you will
- Assisting with corporate Mamp;A and/or joint venture transactions, including assisting with due diligence and drafting and negotiating transaction and ancillary documents.
- Carrying out legal research on behalf of the Legal team.
- Guide key stakeholders on commercial and corporate law matters.
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts such as customer and supplier contracts, consultancy agreements and non-disclosure agreements.
Requirements
- Undergraduate law degree from England/ Wales or Scotland (or law conversion course) or other Commonwealth equivalent and training at an international law firm.
- You will be an associate within a Corporate / Mamp;A or Private Equity team with at least 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, within an international law firm.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive documents and have exceptional organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent academics, drafting skills and the ability to grasp and navigate complex legal matters.
- Well organised and capable of managing multiple matters efficiently and prioritising appropriately.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in other practice areas e.g., intellectual property, employment law etc.
- Articulate, with strong commercial acumen.
