Job Description

To deliver broad HR support to the HRMS employee group. Directly own and manage HR tasks, working closely with the HR Director and the Senior Management team to provide strategic support in line with long term and short-term business needs. Act as a trusted advisor to all employees on the full spectrum of HR issues. Manage the HR team to provide efficient and best practice HR support to HRMS and ensure the development and coaching of the HR Advisor and HR Administrator.

Requirements

Generalist HR

Maintain strong partnerships with HR Director and global HR specialists to effectively leverage knowledge, expertise and systems to broker and deliver HR solutions that add value to the HRMS business.

  • Work closely with the HR Director and senior management team to ensure a streamlined service is delivered that is suited to the practical needs of the business.
  • Complete case management of complex employee relation issues, including performance management and disciplinaries, from start to finish in close coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and coach managers on a range of people issues.
  • Support the business to implement business change initiatives in all areas, including organisational restructures, redundancies and change of terms and conditions.
  • Manage contractual and employment issues for ‘HRMS’.
  • Work with the HR Director and senior management team to understand business strategy and requirements to support in delivery of HR priorities.
  • Oversee delivery of compensation and benefits in line with local legal requirements and market trends.
  • Contribute to the development of Global HR initiatives, e.g. talent, recruitment, employee engagement etc.
  • Provide the business with up-to-date trends on recruitment in the region, including changes to employment legislation and market salary data, for recruitment and talent pipeline purposes.
  • Manage project work as requested by HR Director.

Operational HR

  • Accountable for ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of HR processes.
  • Identify practical solutions and make recommendations on improving policy and processes, ensuring business requirements are met as well as HR best practice.
  • Work closely with other support services, such as Finance, and global HR team to ensure processes are streamlined.
  • Manage the communication of HR policies, procedures and practices to ensure sound leadership application and legal compliance.
  • Advise on relevant and up to date employment legislation.
  • Manage the sick leave and medical evacuation process with the assistance from the HR advisor.

Learning amp; Development

  • Be the main driver of Lamp;D initiatives for HRMS. Proactively promote Lamp;D exercises in line with business needs.
  • Work closely with the senior management team and relevant stakeholders across the region to agree Lamp;D requirements.
  • Where appropriate, deliver / facilitate training.
  • Organise learning and development events taking into consideration logistics, resources, attendees etc. required.
  • Deliver awareness training on the Career Framework and how this should be used by employees and managers for career mapping.

HR Team Management

  • Provide direction and leadership to the HR Coordinator and HR Administrator and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure delivery of quality HR administration support to the business.

Knowledge and experience

Essential

  • Proven experience of operating successful in a generalist role in a fast-moving, professional and commercial environment.
  • Developed abilities in internal key stakeholder management with emphasis on service delivery.
  • Strong employee relations experience with the ability to offer commercial solutions.
  • Proven experience of managing a broad range of operational issues.
  • Good knowledge and application of DIFC employment law, regulations and compliance.
  • Proven experience of managing people.
  • Proven experience of advising managers on the full range of generalist HR areas, including performance management, remuneration and organisational change.
  • Proven experience of case management of complex employee relation issues.
  • Evidence of improving service performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to map process, identify transformation opportunities and deliver change.
  • Previous experience working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in policy writing and development.
